High Holidays 2026/5787

Thank you to those who celebrated with us this year.

Hillel at Stanford was honored to pray in community with Stanford students, staff, faculty, and alumni. We were grateful to bring together people from many Jewish backgrounds and traditions for a meaningful season of prayer, reflection, celebration, and connection.

Thanks to the leadership of Rabbis Ilana Goldhaber-Gordon, Jessica Kirschner, and Savannah Lipner, as well as our musicians, singers, and community partners, we offered several ways for our community to observe the holidays in a setting that felt meaningful and welcoming.

Our High Holiday services included:

  • Main service at Bing Concert Hall, featuring spirited, joyous music led by our band and singers

  • Conservative Shacharit service at Bing Concert Hall, led by Savannah Lipner and primarily in Hebrew

  • Traditional egalitarian Yom Kippur service at Hillel

  • Orthodox services offered by Stanford Minyan and Chabad at the Old Student Services Building

We are thankful to everyone who joined us for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and helped create a warm, vibrant, and meaningful High Holidays experience.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, all High Holiday services were offered free of charge to students. Community members were warmly welcomed through ticket purchases, with proceeds supporting Hillel at Stanford’s Jewish student life and programming throughout the year.

We hope you will join us again next year.
