The Campaign for Hillel at Stanford:

Strengthening Jewish Life, Securing our Future

Join us in shaping the Jewish Future at Stanford. The welfare of Jewish students at Stanford has always depended on the care and commitment of visionary supporters. Now is our moment to invest in the next
generation.

Our Vision: Safe, Vibrant, and Enduring

As the landscape for Jewish students continues to change, this campaign will strengthen the spaces, leadership, and experiences that allow students to thrive on campus and beyond. Our goal is simple and unwavering: to ensure Jewish life at Stanford is safe, vibrant, and enduring.

Our Story

For 75 years, Hillel at Stanford has reflected Stanford’s own pioneering spirit through bold vision, deep community, and an unwavering commitment to Jewish student life. What began as a modest off-campus presence has grown into a pluralistic hub for Jewish life at the heart of one of the world’s leading universities.

Today, Jewish students arrive at Stanford with diverse stories, traditions, and questions. Hillel welcomes them exactly as they are, inviting them to explore their identities, build meaningful friendships across difference, and engage thoughtfully with the world.

Why Now?

The landscape for Jewish students has fundamentally shifted. Students today navigate a campus environment their predecessors never imagined, one that demands both courage and community. Hillel must be resourced not just to respond to this moment, but to lead through it and whatever comes next.

That requires transformational investment in the safety of our spaces, the strength of our leadership, and the scope of our programs. With lasting support, we can ensure that Jewish life at Stanford remains as vibrant, innovative, and world-class as the university itself.

“I go to Hillel to make friends, study, and get involved in the Jewish community. I always have someone to talk to and make a meaningful connection with. Hillel provides crucial resources to Jewish students on campus as they navigate the reality of being a college student today.” — Tia, ’25

Our Partners

Our campaign is guided by committed partners whose leadership helps turn vision into reality. We are grateful to the Architect Committee and to Campaign Committee Co-Chair Esther Levy for their partnership and support.

"When we graduated from Stanford as proud Jews over 20 years ago, we never had to think about the
challenges Jewish students face on campus today. We invest in Hillel at Stanford with our time and
our money to support hundreds of students and thousands more into the future... to continue to build
a safe, joy-filled, community bustling with activity that will be here for decades more.

Jewish students BELONG at Stanford."
— Esther ‘02 & Dan Levy ‘00
